Walden-made gear ships free at $89+.
A fire poker you can blow through. Move logs and feed air straight into the coals from four feet back, standing up, without a face full of smoke.
The Walden Stoker Poker® is a patent-pending blow-through fire poker: one tool that works as a long steel fire stoker and a set of bellows at the same time. Set the notched tip at the base of the embers, blow through the stainless steel mouthpiece, and weak coals come back up into flame.
A one-way valve means you never breathe it back in. Air travels out only, so no smoke, ash or fumes come up the tube. Anyone at the fire can use it, from kids to grandparents.
Built from high-carbon steel with dual air jets inside the hollow shaft, so oxygen lands exactly where the fire needs it. The hooked head grips and repositions heavy logs without reaching for a second tool.
Two lengths: 33 inch and 46 inch. The long shaft keeps you roughly four feet off the flames, which is the right distance for a big backyard fire pit or a bonfire. Both weigh under 3 lbs, so the poker travels easily to a campsite, a tailgate or the lake. The natural hardwood handle stays cool and grips well.
Works on outdoor fire pits, bonfires, campfires, fireplaces and wood stoves.
Want the rest of the setup? The Fireside Kit puts the Stoker Poker in one box with Sure-Fire™ starters, Bonfire Boss™ gloves and a wool blanket, for $28.97 less than buying them apart.

How the one-way valve works
Air out, never in. Your breath travels the shaft to the coals, smoke, ash, and fumes can’t come back.

Blown away (all puns intended)
It’s so nice to build fires and be able to properly stoke them with this well crafted tool

The best blow pipe design ever.
This combination blower/raker/poker is exactly what a pyromaniac wants. It is very well crafted and I cannot wait for an opportunity to test it.

This thing is awesome.
I do hope it holds up to all the abuse my wife will put it through with her 100-150 fires a year.

Questions people ask
- Should I get the 33" or the 46"?
- The 33" suits most standard backyard fire pits and is easier to store and hand to a kid. The 46" is for larger fire pits, elevated fire features, or if you’d rather stand further back from the heat. If you’re between the two, most people are happiest with the 46". You can always work closer, but you can’t add reach.
- Do I breathe smoke back in when I blow through it?
- No. A one-way valve sits in the mouthpiece, so air travels out only. Smoke, ash and fumes can’t come back up the tube. That valve is the whole reason this works as a poker and bellows at once.
- Can kids use it?
- Yes, and it’s one of the reasons people buy it. Because you’re feeding air from four feet back rather than leaning over the fire, a child can bring coals back to flame while standing upright and well clear of the heat. Adult supervision around any fire, always.
- Will it rust?
- It’s high-carbon steel, which develops a dark patina with use. That’s normal and protective, not damage. Wipe it down after wet use and store it dry. The mouthpiece is stainless steel, so the part touching your mouth won’t corrode.
- Will it work with my fire pit?
- Yes. It isn’t fitted to any particular fire pit, it’s a hand tool that works with open fire pits, fire rings, fire bowls, chimineas and campfires. Length is the only real consideration.
- What’s the difference between this and a normal fire poker?
- A normal poker moves logs. This moves logs and feeds oxygen directly into the coals through dual air jets in the hollow shaft, which is what actually revives a dying fire. Most people otherwise end up kneeling down and blowing on the embers with their face in the smoke.
- Can I use it in an indoor fireplace?
- Yes. It works the same way on a fireplace grate as it does outdoors.
